  • Train to Teach with Teaching School Alliance

    Considering becoming a teacher?  Delta is delighted to offer School Direct Teacher Training with our outstanding Teaching School Alliances.

    School Direct is a national teacher training initiative which offers an exciting opportunity to train alongside outstanding practitioners.  Delta TSA is working in partnership with Sheffield Hallam University to offer School Direct places for 2018/19.  As part of the training programme you can gain a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with Qualified Teacher St

  • Year 3 Trip to Flamborough

    26th October 2017

    As part of their topic work learning about the Stone Age, Year 3 had a school trip to Flamborough on Friday 20 October.  They visited the beach where they explored the coast and they went on a hunt for fossils and rocks.

     

     

     

     

  • Doncaster In Bloom 2017

    26th October 2017

    The awards for Doncaster in Bloom 2017 were presented at the Mansion House last night (Wednesday 25 October).  Mr Jerrison, our Site Supervisor, attended with our Year 4 Stormbreakers pupil and Pheasant Bank picked up 6 gardening awards!  Mr Jerrison said "Thank you for a brilliant evening and well done to all at Pheasant Bank Gardeners".

     

     

     

     

     

  • Diwali - Year 3

    12th October 2017

    On Thursday 12 October, the Year 3 children took part in a full day of activities to celebrate Diwali - Festival of Light.

    They all learned a traditional Indian dance which they performed for their parents at the end of the day.

     

     

  • Knights & Castle Day - Year 4

    10th October 2017

    On Tuesday 10 October, Year 4 held a knights and castles day in school.  They learned about the 15th Century, castles, the War of the Roses and the plague.

     

    The children took part in various educational activities and had the chance to look at artefacts from the era.

     

     

     

  • Sheffield Institute of Sport - Year 5

    4th October 2017

    On Wednesday 4 October the Year 5 children went to the Sheffield Institute of Sport to take part in some sporting activities.

     

     

     

     

  • MacMillan Coffee Morning

    29th September 2017

    On Friday 29 September, in the afternoon, we invited parents and carers to come into school for the MacMillan Coffee Morning.  Many parents had donated lots of cakes and buns.  We raised £155.39 for MacMillan nurses.

  • Sheffield Institute of Sport

    6th July 2017

    On Friday 30 June, our children had a fantastic day at the Active Fusion Festival of Sport, held at the Institute of Sport in Sheffield.  The children got a chance to take part in a range of different sports, as well as receiving full marks for their determination, team work and attitude in every activity. The effort, enthusiasm and sportsmanship shown was infectious and was commented on by lots of people throughout the day.

     

  • Gardening Club

    25th May 2017

    The Gardening Club have created some lovely hanging baskets and the sunflowers have started sprouting.

     

     

     

     

     

  • Google Expeditions

    6th April 2017

    Google expeditions came to Pheasant Bank Academy this week.  The children took field trips and explored through collections of 360 degree and 3D images all without leaving school.

  • Doncaster Book Awards

    6th April 2017

    Some of the Year 6 children visited The Dome on Tuesday 4 April to see the Doncaster Book Awards for 2017.

     

     

     

     

     

  • Mother's Day Afternoon Cream Tea

  • Comic Relief

    On Friday 24 May we brought 50p to come to school dressed in either red or something funny.  We have also been selling red noses in school. We raised £553.50 for Comic Relief.

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

  • Spring At Pheasant Bank Academy

    Mr Jerrison's site team are working hard to help keep our school looking beautiful! Our special 'PBA' flowers are starting to bloom ๐ŸŒท๐ŸŒป๐ŸŒผ Year 3 made the most of the spring sunshine and had their PE lesson on the school field.

     

     

     

  • Chicks!

    With Spring just around the corner we at Pheasant Bank are waiting for our new arrivals.  We have living eggs which are due to be hatched any day.  Everybody is very excited and we are running a competition to name all our chicks.  We will keep you updated about their progress on our 'Chick Page'.

  • Have Aliens Landed at Pheasant Bank Academy?

    Year 5 have discovered a scene in Pheasant Bank car park this week. The Police and Forensics have reported that this is being classified as a UFO crash landing and that children need to be vigilant in case they see any other such sightings in the near future. We are hoping this will uncover new information about Alien existence.

  • Roman Day in Year 3

    7th February 2017

    In year three, we had a very exciting day when two Romans came to visit our school. They taught us lots of interesting things about life in Ancient Rome and we had the opportunity to train as a gladiator, learn a roman dance and we even built a working aquaduct together.

  • Year 3 Christmas Musical - Hey Ewe

    13th December 2016

    Year 3 will be performing a musical called Hey Ewe.  This year they will be putting on two productions.  Tuesday 13 December at 9.30am and Wednesday 14 December at 2.15pm. 

     

    Parents can get tickets from the school office, but due to the large year group we have to limit the tickets to two per child.  Allocation of spare tickets will be drawn on a lotter basis.

     

    On Tuesday 13th the school hall will be open from 9.00am for parents to have a drink and a mince pie and and on Wednesday 14th, after the performance

  • MacMillan Coffee Morning

    Our recent MacMillan Coffee morning raised £262.70 through the sale of cakes and drinks.

  • Children In Need

    6th December 2016

    In November we had a non-uniform day to raise money for Children in Need.  We held it at then end of anti-bullying week and the children could come to school to in their own clothes, but to incorporate something blue, for 50p.  We raised £167 for Children in Need
